INTRO

Let me start by saying...

Your interest in my work feeds a passion and purpose within me that comes second to none. What started as doodling on the walls with a sharpie in some of my earliest days, now translates into helping others express themselves through ink and artistry in the form of tattooing. I would never have imagined the curiosity from daydreaming as a child would lead to the fruitful and ever-evolving work of my life.

Having the ability to support myself and those I love, while doing something that brings joy and impact not only to me, but those I work with, is a tremendous blessing.

So much of my identity is built into what I do, and because of this, it is difficult to find the words to adequately express such a profound sense of gratitude.

Please know that you allow me to thrive in a space that is at the core of who I am. It truly means the world.

HOW TO WORK WITH ME

I open my books to new work every couple of month. When my books are open, you can submit your tattoo idea via email. Once my books close, I will respond to all submissions. If your submission is accepted, you will be contacted by my assistant to set up a consultation. All accepted submissions will be booked within a 2 month period. Please follow me on Instagram for up to date information on when my books will be open.

I am extremely fortunate to have a thriving career and clientele base, but I often receive more inquiries than I am able to commit to. Because of this, all work is submission based.

SUBMISSIONS

From the inquiries I receive, I choose the ideas that align most with my artistic vision and that I feel I can execute to the best of my ability, ensuring your happiness with your unique piece.

I respond to every inquiry that I receive - either letting you know that your submission is something I’m able to complete at this time, or if I’m regrettably unable to. If your submission does not make it through, please do not take this as an opposition to your idea. I respect each and every one of you and your time, and will respond to your inquiries in a timely manner.

APPROVAL

If your submission is approved, I will respond with information on how to move forward with an in-person consultation from there.

If you are a client traveling from out of state to pursue a tattoo, please let me know and we can discuss the possibility of a virtual consultation.

At your consultation, we will further discuss the details of the tattooing process, such as design work, time, pricing, day-of preparations and expectations.

Consultations are an essential part of the process and are complementary (after approval of submission). Should you decide to move forward with scheduling your tattoo, a minimum $100 cash deposit is required at the time of consult. (Pricing Breakdown)

TO CONSIDER WHEN BOOKING

It is essential to know that all tattoo work is a collaboration between individuals, and although your idea is important, it may not align with my realm of experience at the particular time of your inquiry. I believe that timing is a key element in the process, as is the connection to the inspiration behind the tattoo - when I’m able to connect with an idea as an artist, the whole process flows synergistically.

Please be understanding that there may be times where our visions may not align, and this is in no way personal, nor is it meant to devalue your idea or your story. If your idea does not make it through this time, I would encourage you to try again in the future.

ABOUT MY WORK

My work is detailed, intricate and thoughtfully applied. The tattoos I create are meticulous in nature and often times slow moving as a result. I prefer to work with as few restrictions as possible- this allows me to create my best work, for you.

I specialize in the following Black + Gray styles - individually OR in combination: Realism, surrealism, ornamental and illustrative. These are tattoos that have qualities of texture, shading, depth & dimension.

I do not currently offer tattoos that are made up of line-work only, colored tattoos, cover-ups, and I do not finish other artists’ work.

I AM MOST INTERESTED IN

Portrait + Realism pieces of any size.

Subject matter consisting of animals, people, objects -

Including embellishments with geometric shapes, patterns, textures, florals/botanicals.

To see a list of ideas I would like to tattoo, check out the desired ideas page.

If you have not already, I would encourage you to review my portfolio and assess whether or not my work is a good fit for your envisioned tattoo. My portfolio can be viewed via this websites gallery page or on Instagram @earl.tattoos .

Your tattoo idea may be different than any of my featured work - that is okay! I would just like you to get a feel for the general aesthetic of my work. I am open to your ideas and inspiration, always.

CREATIVE FREEDOM

In order to further progress my tattoo style & ability, I humbly ask for a considerate level of creative freedom on all tattoo projects. All of my work is completely original and I will do my best to bring your idea to life, but this is a crucial requirement of mine that you should anticipate before inquiring. I ask this sincerely for your benefit - preferences are normal, but working with extensive restrictions will not result in my best work.

SCHEDULING

Please note that my standard availability for tattooing is limited to weekdays only, with one appointment per day. Appointments start around noon each day.

I typically do not tattoo on the weekends. However, I will have a small amount of weekend days available for select appointments. Please see the FAQ page for a pricing breakdown.

HOW TO BOOK

Please take your time when putting together your submission. Make sure all of the information asked for is available. I receive a great number of inquiries and this helps me to stay as organized as possible while going through them.

Incomplete submissions will be ignored.

Please include the following information for your submission to be considered:

1 - Your first & last name. IG username. Phone number.

2 - Are you a new or returning client? New clients, tell me a little about yourself.

3 - What is your current experience with tattoos?

4 - How did you hear about me?

5 - A brief but thorough description of your idea(s).

6 - Desired placement & estimated size in inches.

7 - Any significant reasoning or inspiration behind the tattoo (a couple of sentences).

8 - Budget if applicable (please see FAQ page for pricing info & guidelines).

9 - A clear picture of the area of your body you would like to have tattooed. If possible, have someone else take the photo for you. Preferably from a distance.

*Shoot for a photo that is taken straight-on. If you can, submit the photo with a circle around the area you would like the tattoo to go, this will give me the most accurate depiction of the canvas we would be working with & the size of the potential tattoo.

If there are existing tattoos, scars, blemishes or anything noteworthy surrounding the vacant space, please let me know in your submission.

*If you are completely unavailable for a tattoo consultation on a Saturday, please make note of this in your submission so we can make other arrangements.

I encourage you to include any references or inspiration pictures you have to help express your idea. Be sure to include specifications on what you like about them.

If you have a clear idea of your inspiration but need guidance with regard to design, size or placement, please let me know, as I am happy to offer my interpretation and ideas.

If you are interested in booking multiple tattoos, please include the information listed above for each tattoo.

CLOSING

If you have any questions pertaining to this process or any of my requirements, please include them in your submission.

I’m excited for new projects, seeing old friends and making new ones. Thank you for your support and taking the time to review my booking process.
